Uasin Gishu TVET Regional Director David Nganga has commended The Eldoret National Polytechnic Chief Principal Dr. Charles Koech for successfully hosting the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Level II training.

The closing ceremony took place on Friday at Eldoret National Polytechnic.
Speaking during RPL Level II Training Closing Ceremony Nganga highlighted that the RPL program supports Kenya’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda by empowering communities, formally recognizing existing skills, and linking skilled individuals to nationally recognized opportunities.
The week-long program was launched earlier this week by the National Director RPL at State Department for TVET Stanley Maindi.
It brought together practitioners from 14 TVET institutions across Kenya includingTourism Fund, Tinderet Integrated, Kaiboi National Polytechnic, Ollesos National Polytechnic, Emsos TVC, Chamasiri TVC, AITEC Mogotio, Ziwa TTI, Emgwen TTI, Lodwar TVC, Lodwar VTC, Aldai TTI, and Tinderet TVC.

The Eldoret National Polythechnic Chief Principal Dr. Charles Koech, in his remarks, noted that the RPL program provides an alternative pathway for individuals with informal and non-formal skills to obtain nationally recognized certification, advance their careers, and contribute to local development.
The training also strengthened practitioners’ skills, promoting workforce competitiveness and enhancing the TVET sector.
